A growing number of U.S. service members have been killed or wounded in the ongoing military campaign against Iran, marking one of the first significant American casualty counts in the expanding conflict.

U.S. Central Command has confirmed that six American service members have died since the start of the U.S.–Israeli offensive on Iranian targets. The deaths include three troops initially reported killed in early March, with additional fatalities confirmed following the recovery of previously unaccounted-for personnel.

In addition to those killed, multiple service members have been seriously wounded, with reports indicating at least five critically injured and others suffering minor wounds such as concussions from blasts and shrapnel.

The casualties mark the first major U.S. battlefield losses since the joint operation — dubbed Operation Epic Fury — began. Pentagon officials have not yet released the identities of the fallen troops, stating that notifications to family members are ongoing and that circumstances surrounding the incidents remain under investigation.

President Donald Trump and senior military leaders have publicly acknowledged the rising toll, warning that more casualties may occur as hostilities persist. U.S. forces continue to face Iranian missile and drone attacks on bases across the Middle East while supporting ongoing combat operations.
