At least 31 people have been killed in Israeli airstrikes across southern Lebanon, according to Lebanese officials, as the conflict expands beyond Israel and Iran.

The strikes targeted multiple locations believed to be linked to Hezbollah infrastructure, following rocket and missile launches into northern Israel. Lebanese authorities said dozens more were injured, with rescue operations continuing in affected areas.

The escalation marks one of the deadliest days in Lebanon since the latest round of hostilities began. Hezbollah has increased cross-border attacks in recent days, formally entering the conflict and opening a new front in the regional confrontation.

Israeli military officials said the strikes were aimed at degrading Hezbollah’s capabilities and preventing further attacks on Israeli territory. Meanwhile, humanitarian agencies have expressed concern over civilian casualties and displacement in southern Lebanon.

With fighting now active on multiple fronts — including Israel, Iran, Lebanon and the Gulf — fears are mounting that the crisis could spiral into a broader regional war.
